Not-So-Secret-Santa

So, I ran out of gift ideas for my friends this Christmas, and went the "I made you a picture" route. Here are some (is it selfish to use them for blog fodder, as well? Perhaps; but what the heck):

This one didn't make the cut, so I gave the one above, but it's growing on me:

The Battle Rages on!

Who is it that will win the hearts and minds of readers around the globe?

Here's the tale of the tape, as I see it:

Skateboard, Anyone?

My buddy Mark mentioned to me an exhibition of Skateboard Decks (slacker-lingo) taking place in NYC starting this friday at Avenue A Sushi. He got me a blank board, the stand-up guy he is, and I decorated it.

Here you go (sorry for the wack photo):

Investigate Mark's artwork and check out
the exhibition, too!

Take Me to Your Leader

Here's a little ditty I whipped up with my buddy Steve from The Sneeze (well, he's my pal, but not from The Sneeze, that just happens to be the association from which this animated fare germinated; apologies for the poor grammar).

You must visit thesneeze.com, immediately.

Now.

Go.

Shell Boy

Art Jumble's (link is to the right) topic this week is "Sea Creatures."

It's "Hell Boy" with a claw, hence "Shell Boy."

Quite a wit.

From the Depths!

Well who knows how deep, really.

Drats, it seems I forgot to add the seaweed clumps to this handsome fella. Next time.

And, no, he would not have his dangly-thing lit up on the surface in the daytime, but I say, if you have a dangly-thing that lights up, then keep it aglow, baby!

Faerie

Faerie? Fairy? The debate rages on.

Seems to me if you're saying "faerie" there's like an extra syllable and a you need to take a half a breath somewhere in there: "fay-ee-uh-huh (half-breath exhale there)-ree."

I choose faerie.

Whoopsy!

A couple of posts back, I referenced Petunia Clark and her song "Don't Sleep in the Subway."

Well, as Mark points out to me, it's Petula. Petula Clark. Not Petunia. He also happens to point out that I'm a doofus.

Sorry Petunia.

Huzzah!

At long last!

It has come to my attention that this, here-to-fore
lost portrait of Phinnaeus J Gorillington, IV
has been unearthed!

Bully!

Anyone wishing to offer a brief history of Mr. Gorillington
(of the the Wiltshire Gorillingtons) may do so.

Petunia Was Right

Petunia Clark actually sang "Don't Sleep on the Subway" (remember that one? no? I can't say I blame you), but it sort of relates because I sketched these folks snoozing on the Long Island Railroad, unbeknownst to them, of course.

As an aside, one woman semi-threatened me for drawing her, although I wasnt actually doing so. In fact, I was drawing a witch, which, come to think of it, wasn't a far cry. But I digress.

So if you see me sketching on the LIRR, I'm probably not drawing you.

But maybe.

Villainy!

Super Skrull.

Who you gonna call? Nobody. Because he'll kick all their asses.

C'mon; he's got all the Fantastic Four's powers.

Actually, I think I doodled this jamoke a month or so ago, but so what.

Enjoy, people!

Little Boo Peep

Everyone likes to dress up, no?

Looking at this devilish chap, I believe he strikes a resemblance to Tyra Banks.

Happy Halloween!

Zombie!

The Zombie rants:

"Being a zombie sucks! Everything keeps falling off...wait; this isn't even my hand...and my hair looks terrible; and it keeps growing...and there are freakin' flies everywhere...all we ever do is walk around...and the food is awful!"

Which Witch is Which?

Listen, just buy the good candy; fun-size Snickers, peanut mm's, maybe some Milk Duds.

Save your dimes, nickels & pennies, halloween pencils, freakin' candy corn and little pumpkin plastic goodie bags with the old-lady butterscotches in it.

You know who you are.

Lazy, lazy, lazy

A big apology to my fans (both of you; and mom, I'm tired of having to edit your nasty comments! Enough already!) for being a ne'er do well and not scanning anything.

Your prayers are answered:

I would've done some more coloring, but I grew weary. All are ART JUMBLE (see side-bar link) entries.

I promise a more exciting composition next time.

A Cool Exec with a Heart of Steel

I just want to be the first one (in my office, anyway) to state that the upcoming motion picture Iron Man, is, well, going to stink.

I'm not just saying this because I saw the trailer, which I did.

I do, however, look forward to seeing Stan Lee's cameo. I hope he reprises his role as the child-saving balloon salesman again. That was a good one.

Excelsior!

You may say that my version of Iron Man stinks.

To that, I reply "thbbbbbth."

If you want to see a kick-ass version of Iron Man worth looking forward to, visit: kahnehteh.blogspot.com/

I don't the artist (Eric Canete), but I do frequent his blog often.

Super Bad-Ass

From the "Evil Baddie" files:

Super Skrull.

Who'd want to tangle with this f'er? You wouldn't see him, then you'd get a rock fist in the face, and a firebolt enema.

Yeowchie.

I admit, I did draw him a bit craggy and old, but really, who's in charge; me or him?

(Don't say I said that.)

Man-a Lisa

Art Jumble this week: Mona Lisa. This version isn't exactly feminine, nor a masterpiece. And what's up with my earring placement? It sort of reminds me of the dark-haired, evil-twin from I Dream of Jeannie, without the sex appeal, of course.

Anyway here (he) she is:

I do like a nice grunge map, though.

MadEyes!

So, I'm reading the new Harry Potter book, and thought I'd finally catch up to the Art Jumble
topic of, well, Harry Potter, from like 4 weeks ago. So here are some interpretations/scribbles.

Evil Baddie

Well, I don't know if The Vulture is evil, necessarily, but he is a villain. And a classic, at that. I would say he ranks above The Rhino, yet below Kraven the Hunter. Suck on that, Mysterio.

Here's a quick one from this morning.

As I look at it, the question of who this little f*<&er is menacing
needs to be answered.

I'll revisit.

Recents

For your viewing pleasure. Or perhaps displeasure. The bottom one's a Wolverine; dosen't look like him you say? Neither does Hugh Jackman.
