Here's a little ink-to-photoshop progression for you.

I'm not sure, but hyenas might be the least-liked animal going. Bad PR, I think. That, and the fact that they laugh while tearing you a new one doesn't help.

Perhaps this dude's celebrity-style coif will help with the conventional wisdom.
